Sr20DE swap? Those had less horsepower even in “JDM bro” spec than the KA24DE.

I think the yzf600 is still carbs in 2001 so if he left it sitting it probably just needs the carbs cleaned. So that would actually be a good deal to just toss in. Clean the carbs and throw some fresh gas in; sell bike for $1500. Use that to help fund the car build.
